-

OptoSpin Filter Wheel
Our filter wheels offer rapid and precise wavelength selection, enhancing imaging flexibility and efficiency. Our range includes the OptoSpin25 and OptoSpin32, designed for seamless integration with various microscopy systems.
-

Infinity Port Adapter
Specifically designed for Optogenetics, flash photolysis, FRAP and widefield fluorescence, the Cairn Infinity Cube gives scientists direct access to the infinity-space of commercial upright microscopes and macroscopes.
-

Obscura Alligator
The Obscura Alligator is a light-tight, 180 L enclosure designed for sensitive optical recordings. It combines precise temperature, humidity, and CO₂ control
with a high-sensitivity EMCCD camera, optics optimized for very low light levels, and an anti-mist system – all integrated into a custom tissue culture incubator to protect your experiments from external interference. -

OpenFrame
The openFrame is a compact, modular, open-source microscope conceived by Paul French and developed with colleagues from the Photonics Group at Imperial College London, and designed, supported, and extended in collaboration with Cairn Research. The fundamental building blocks for self-builders are open source and can be purchased directly from Cairn, or machined in your own workshop based on the STEP files provided on, Photonics Group.
-

OptoTIRF
The OptoTIRF V2 is a compact and powerful, yet inexpensive, stepper-motor-controlled TIRF illuminator designed to fit onto any research-grade inverted microscope.
-

Aura Phase Contrast Illuminator
Based on a concept developed by Webb et al. at the University of Nottingham, the Aura uses concentric rings of super-bright LEDs in place of the conventional condenser and phase rings. The Aura provides the highest-quality phase contrast images with very simple alignment and works with a selection of inverted research microscopes for electrophysiology, live cell imaging, and multimodal time-lapse experiments. The Aura allows turn-key PhL, Ph1, and Ph2 and some darkfield imaging in white light or the near infrared.

MultiScope
The Cairn MultiScope is a motion-free, high-throughput imaging platform designed for long-term, stable acquisition across multi-well plates. Ideal for live-cell, developmental, and fluorescence studies, it delivers precision and scalability in one compact system.
